My uncle found some sasafrass roots. I love sasafrass tea. So, my mom starts the water boiling with the roots. Then I begin to wonder 'where does sasafrass come from?' I mean, I know that it's roots. But, is there like a sasafrass tree, or bush, or something? So, my mom turns to the internet.
Did you know that sasafrass was banned in 1976? It caused liver cancer in laboratory rats.
It also is one of the ingredients in XTC.
It can cause profuse sweating. As I was writing this, I started to get really hot and thought that I was starting to get hot flashes. Nope. It was just that it was 80 degrees in here. So, my mom turned on the air for a little bit.
One last thing about sasafrass...it can cause testicular atrophy. (Aren't you so glad that you read my blog?)
So, in case you don't hear from me for a while, just remeber that I am sitting here drinking a nice, hot cup of sasafrass tea.
So, Friday was a kind of stressful day at work. When I got home, I had decided not to go to the Spring Impact at church. Then I checked my messages. A friend of mine had sent me a message to see if I was going (thanks, Ernie 
). So, I decided to go. I am really glad that I did. It is just so amazing to see so many young people worshipping God! Of course, the music was fabulous! I ended up sick the next morning, but it was worth it. I woke up on Saturday with a massive sore throat. I think that it was the combination of being inside, then outside, etc. I didn't end up going to the Teen Talent Expo.
I hear that it was great. A.J. said that Ernie did a great job as emcee. I'm not surprised, he did great at camp as the karaoke emcee.
Sunday when I woke up, I could barely swallow. So, we didn't make it to church. I stayed home and drank lots of fluids. I felt better by the afternoon. Good thing, too. I had to teach Sunday School by myself. It went well. I only had 3 kids.
Tonight was 24. It was great, as always. Not much more. Take Care. Love ya...
