Today

Today, we went to Union Station.  It was LOTS of fun.  They have one part called "Science City".  It was way cool!  They have so much to look at.  They have things dealing with dinosaurs, space travel, mysteries, and tons more.  We were there for about 3 hours.  Then we went to eat at El Maguey.  If you are ever in Independence, MO, and are wanting authentic Mexican food, go there.  It's right by Independence Center off of 70.  On the way home, we went to Longview Lake to see the Christmas lights display.  It was fabulous.  They even have light displays that "jump" across the road.  After that, we went to see another display.  It was lots of fun.  Now we are back at the house.  I'm getting ready to turn in.

My Weekend

We went to KC this past weekend.  I got a 2007 Ford Escape!!  I'll have to post a pic of it.  I love it!  It is a dark metallic silver with black.  The interior is black.  It drives so smooth.  I can't wait until we go on vacation this Summer!

After my dad helped me to get the most fabulous deal ever, we went out to eat at El Maguay.  Then Michael and I went over to The Center to look around.  Then we went to the AMC 23 to see TMNT.  Pretty good movie.  After the movie we headed to Odess to visit with my aunt and uncle.  We had to hurry back to JC on Sunday afternoon for church. 

Monday was back to work.  Have you ever worked with people that get stressed SUPER bad?  It is such a downer.  One person that I work with got severely pissed off and just left early.  I figure that there a ton more things in life that I could stress over other than my job.  Renee' said that it's because most people aren't as happy a person as I am.  I guess, but I also don't let trivial things get to me.  If I'm gonna stress, it's going to be about something more momumental like whether or not I'll have enough food in the house, if someone is going to show up at my house unannouced, stuff like that.  I figure, if I don't get something done at work, it's still gonna be ther tomorrow.  Unless of course the Rapture happens.  In that case Scholastic is going to be more to worry about than whether or not I finished a Price Quote.

Today was a little better.  The person who left early kept making snide remarks about those of us who have been asigned to answer email.  You would have all been proud of me.  I was a very good duck today.  I just let each snide remark slide off, without coming back with a retort.   She stated that she is going to be taking some vacation time this week.  PRAISE GOD!!!  Another one of my co-workers got married last Friday.  She married one of the guys in the Singles group at church.  He's a really sweet guy.  I wish them the best.

Well, my kid finally made it inside.  So, I guess that we are going to grab something to eat and head home.  Take Care.  Love ya...

Vacationing....

Well, we made it. We are in Florida! I didn't get lost, even once! We stopped in Metropolis, IL, on the way here. The home of Superman. We had been there before, but michael was a lot younger, and didn't remember. That was pretty neat. My glasses broke Friday night. Thank God that I have my contacts! We went to see 2 movies today. We saw "Ant Bully" and "Pirates 2". Very good. Then we did karaoke over at Nae's mom's house. She has a really good selection of titles. It was lots of fun. I hope Princess is being nice to S. She was royally pissed off at me when I left her with him. She tried to attack him the other night. She is just so spoiled. She is used to having everything her own way. Oh, well. They say that change is good. I have a new song on my profile. I am getting sleepy. So, before I write down things from my subconscience without realizing it, I'd better get to sleep. I have to get up and buy new glasses tomorrow. Later....

Spring Break

No matter what I am going to Florida for Spring Break.  Even if I have to rob every damn bank in town, I am getting to Pensacola.  My bestest friend in the entire world is in Pensacola.  By the way, everyone should click on Naomi's picture and go to her site:  Vagabond Spirit.  It is very interesting.  She has some great links also.  Seriously.  Well, I figure if I drive all night I can get there by the afternoon of the 23rd.  I figure we'll leave after Michael gets out of school on the 22nd.  We have to be back for work/school on the 29th.  So, it'll be a quick visit, but it's better than none at all.  I wish that she lived closer.  That would be the ultimate best gift.  (Except for the one that she said that she is going to help me pick out in Florida!  That's a cool gift, too!  Or maybe I should say hot?  Whatever.)  Then again, I wouldn't mind living in Florida.  I can't stand Missouri (Misery).  It's too damn boring!  There is NOTHING TO DO HERE!!!!!!!!!!  I keep glancing over at my picture.  I need a different picture.  I get so...HERE IT COMES...THIS MAY BE OFFENSIVE...COVER YOUR EYES...fucking bored in Jeff. City. I mean you can only go to the movie theatres so many times.  The mall sucks.  There's no beach.  There is nothing here.  Maybe I could transfer to the NY office of Scholastic.  At least there's stuff to do in NYC.
